Red Carpet Styling

action shotOne Salon was honored to have Moroccanoil Educator Michael Beltran Cohen stop by the salon yesterday. Michael was flown in exclusively to teach the staff at One Salon his latest Red Carpet Styling techniques; a class only taught at the Moroccanoil Academy.

Michael Beltran Cohen spent his early years in London, where he trained with Toni&Guy and Anthony Mascolo. At eighteen, he moved to New York City and worked as Antonio Prieto’s Art Director for eight years. During this time, he created looks for Cosmopolitan, Harper’s BAZAAR, New York Fashion Week and other editorials, while assisting celebrity hairstylist Luigi Moreno. In 2006, Michael opened the Michael Angelo Salon in Marbella, Spain, and three years later, the Kristin Michaels Salon in Oslo, Norway, where he built a motivated team of stylists. He was also an educator for Wella in the Scandinavia region and has given seminars on hair styling and product development.

He flew in to Michigan to share his expertise and extensive background in the international market with the One Salon staff. Michael showed off some of his newest techniques and passed on some of his styling secrets to our staff.

He rocked these amazing styles on our own live models, Abby Nichols and Ali Slavin. They look like they are ready to walk down the red carpet!
